Gluepot Reserve is OPEN. Gluepot has received an unprecedented 155mm of rain in March. Some tracks are rocky and washed out. Drive to conditions. The only access is via Lunn Road, despite what your electronic navigation system tells you.

The Malleefowl Walk trailhead is located about 8 km east of the Visitor Centre along Track 8
The track passes through Callitris (native pine), Triodia (porcupine grass) and mallee.
At the end of a marked short side track is old Malleefowl mound, about 1.9 km from the start. Upon reaching the southern end you can either retrace your steps or return along the nearby management vehicle track. If returning on the management track you will come across a sign-posted second Malleefowl mound after 1.8km, on your left.
This walk is habitat for Malleefowl, Striated Grasswrens, Emus, Black-eared Miners, Southern Scrub-robins, and Honeyeaters when mallee is flowering.
